Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About Your Dog

). When you loose something important to you, don't be so sure it is lost. Dogs like to take things they think are important to you and hide them in a safe place so that nothing bad can happen to them.
). The reason dogs walk in circles before laying down is to get their scent all around them before they go to sleep to assure that other animals know that this spot is theirs.
). If you notice that your dog only willingly goes into the water if you are in the water, this is because your best friend is concerned that you are unable to swim and wants to be there to help you if need be.
). If your dog doesn't like to eat while you are around, this is because your dog sees you as the leader of the pack and knows that the leader eats first. This is just because of natural instincts and there is little that can be done to change it.
). During the summer, dogs love frozen treats. Dogs can only cool down by sweating through the pads on their feet and by panting, a cold meal in their belly will help them to cool off.
). Dogs like music, they have very pitch sensitive hearing and experts have proven that upbeat music makes dogs happy just like it does for humans.
). Dogs love to roll in things, even if it smells awful. This is a dogs way of covering up its own smell so that predators and pray alike are unable to pick up the scent of the dog.
). When a dog sits on your feet it is not only the dogs way of telling you that it loves you, but it is also a way to tell other animals that you are theirs.
). When your dog licks you this is not only to tell you that it loves you (which is part of it) but it is also a way to tell you that they are submissive to you.
). Dogs carry objects around to show ownership of that item, dogs are concerned that if they set an object down a more dominant dog will come and take it. However, a lot of dogs have comfort objects like a favorite toy, they like these in times of stress, fear, and extreme joy.
